Owner
Scott brings a strategic blend of business insight, design sensibility, and hands-on experience to his role as Owner of AJ Kirkegaard Contractors. A graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Marketing and a Colorado Real Estate License, Scott entered the construction industry through residential remodeling in Denver, where he spent years refining his understanding of craftsmanship and client service. Since taking the helm of AJ Kirkegaard Contractors in 2010, Scott has led the company in delivering finely crafted custom homes that reflect exceptional quality, thoughtful design, and meticulous attention to detail. His leadership continues to shape a legacy of excellence throughout Denver’s most distinguished neighborhoods.
Jon Crabtree
Owner & Field Supervisor
With more than 23 years of experience across all facets of residential construction, Jon brings a wealth of expertise and a commitment to quality craftsmanship to his role as Owner and Field Supervisor at AJ Kirkegaard Contractors. Before joining AJK, Jon founded and operated Basement Solutions Inc., a successful basement finishing company known for its precision and professionalism. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Metropolitan State University graduate, Jon combines discipline, leadership, and meticulous attention to detail in every project he oversees. Since joining AJK in 2010, Jon has been dedicated to building distinctive, high-quality custom homes that reflect individuality, integrity, and enduring beauty.
Craig Muller
Field Supervisor
With a background in architecture and design, Craig brings a sharp eye for detail and a deep commitment to craftsmanship to every project he leads. Originally from the Midwest, Craig studied at Indiana University and Harvard, where he developed a strong foundation in design thinking and project execution. As both a Project Manager and Site Superintendent, Craig combines technical expertise with exceptional organizational skills to ensure each home is built to the highest standards of quality. His architectural insight and dedication to excellence allow him to bridge the gap between design intent and construction reality—delivering homes that are as enduring as they are beautiful.
Dave Denton
Project Manager & Site Superintendent
Dave brings a unique blend of discipline, focus, and good humor to his role managing small projects and remodels at AJ Kirkegaard Contractors. A dedicated runner, Dave applies the same endurance and determination that drive his training to every project he oversees. With an exceptional ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, Dave ensures that each receives the attention, organization, and craftsmanship that define the company’s reputation. His balanced approach and positive attitude make him an invaluable part of the AJ Kirkegaard team.
Glenn Sterling
Framer & Craftsman
Glenn is a master framer and highly skilled craftsman, regarded as one of the best in Colorado’s Front Range. With 25 years (?)of experience, a deep understanding of structures and precision craftsmanship, Glenn excels at tackling the most complex builds—projects that would challenge even the most experienced framers. As an integral member of the AJ Kirkegaard team, Glenn’s work quite literally sets the stage for the remainder of the homebuilding process. His skill, problem-solving ability, and commitment to excellence ensure that every project begins with a strong, meticulously crafted backbone.
Laura Reichardt
Accountant
Laura brings extensive experience in finance and real estate to her role as Accountant at AJ Kirkegaard Contractors. A graduate of Regis University, Laura has worked with several prominent homebuilding and real estate firms throughout the Denver area, where she developed a strong foundation in financial management and client relations. Known for her professionalism and people-focused approach, Laura is proud to contribute to a company with a rich local history and a steadfast commitment to quality and service.
